CIVILIAN Hotel

Perfect location and a lovely stay.

I was booked in a smaller room and Sekou was kind enough to move us to a bigger room. Thank you Sekou. The hotel is beautiful.

Front desk staff was super helpful in allowing me to store refrigerated meds and the freezer for ice packs.

The room was very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location with Time Square only a few minutes walk. The air conditioning in my room didn’t work well so it was often too warm and it was the middle of June. I had to keep calling the front desk to send someone to fix it. While the fix was only temporary, the staff did work quickly to fix it each time. Also, there weren’t many amenities, but there was a cocktail lounge with live music and a couple of restaurants in the hotel.

First trip to NYC and they helped make it great.

A lovely boutique hotel. Rooms are quite small but we didn't plan to stay in. We were out in NYC after all. The hotel is very close to Time Square but the sound proofing was fairly good. Few "in room" amenities, but coffee was available downstairs. Nice stay - especially for the price.

Zero complaints! Great place for a quick stay! The staff was very friendly and professional. Property is clean. Despite the size of the room it was very comfortable and quiet! I honestly can’t say I’ve stayed anywhere where I didn’t hear something, but it is very quiet here. Location is walkable to literally anywhere. I would definitely stay again.

Clean room, bathroom floor gets very wet from shower. They even have a squeegee to push water down the drain. A bit quirky and not real safe. For the price of the room it really was a bit of a downer.

Great location within a short walk of the theatres.

Such great hotel all around. Great location, I had a beautiful view from my 10th floor room. I traveled solo and felt very safe at the Civilian. Walking distance to Broadway shows, Central Park, Hell' Kitchen and Times Square! Staff was also so helpful and welcoming.

Everything was awesome

very centrally located and a comfy set up. Only challenge is elevator! takes long because many poeple come to the hotel for the lovely offerings!

Clean, great location The room was very tiny. They advertised as a queen bed but it was only double. No place to unpack clothes. Room so small, we could only open 1 suitcase at a time. We left after 1 night. No coffee pot in room.
